Christopher John Poulsen, 43, of Kaysville, Utah fulfilled his mission on earth the 16th of April 2026. He was surrounded by family after a nine-month faithful fight with Stage IV colon cancer.
Born on November 5, 1982, in Rexburg, Idaho to John Blair and Jana Lee Poulsen. Christopher grew up alongside five siblings in Egin Bench, amongst many of his extended family. After graduating from South Fremont High School, he went on to serve the Hmong people of Sacramento, California as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This was a highlight of his experiences here on earth. A year after returning, while attending BYU-Idaho, he found his eternal companion, Courtney Marie Eddy. He delighted in being sealed to his sweetheart on March 5, 2005, in The House of the Lord in Salt Lake City. Together they had three children; Maxwell Christopher, Ella Marie, and Gracie Lee.
Christopher continued his education earning a dual Masters in Human Resources and Business Administration from Utah State University. His career in sales took him to many places throughout the United States. He enjoyed developing relationships with his clients and colleagues.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Courtney Poulsen; his children, Maxwell, Ella, and Gracie. Christopher is also survived by his siblings; Tiffany (Brett) Johnson, Heather (Koby) Bennett, Trever (Jaimie) Poulsen, Lindsay (Rob) Call, David (Heather) Poulsen, in-laws, and many nieces and nephews who will miss him. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jana Poulsen, and niece, Kimberly Tokanang.
A viewing and celebration will be held from 6:30-8:30 pm on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2026, and a funeral at 11:00 am on Friday, April 24, 2026 all at the Kaysville Stake Center located at 615 N. Flint Street, Kaysville. The family warmly invites, anyone who wishes, to share a loving note of how their faith has been strengthened through Christopher’s life. These will be gathered into a keepsake book recognizing the ways he brought others to Christ.
Christopher left this earth with a heart full of faith and gratitude. He anticipated reconnecting with loved ones on the other side of the veil, but was very sad to leave his dear family. His wife and children would like to thank the caregivers from McKay Dee Hospital, many who became dear friends, along with the support of many friends and family.
