Merlin J Smith, age 84 of Saint Anthony, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 with his family by his side.

Merlin was born on October 5, 1942 in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Verla Mason (Sadorus) Smith and Edwin Othella Smith. Merlin is a life long resident of Saint Anthony. He married for a short time and together they had 3 children, Vince, Marnie, and Lisa. Marnie passed away at a young age in 1972.

Merlin is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Othella Smith and Verla Mason Smith, his beautiful daughter Marnie, and brother, DeLynn.

Per Merlin's wishes there will be no services. He will be interred next to his beloved daughter Marnie in the Wilford Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Fall River Funeral Home.
